Star-Spangled Banner for 8 Trombones

This setting of the National Anthem was written in 2011 for the Washington Trombone Ensemble. Artistic Director Sam Woodhead has this to say about the arrangement:

"The melody is treated with respect and the distinctive harmonic treatment is ideally suited for trombone choir. The Anthem starts sweetly and from a distance, but builds to a rousing climax."
